Vintage 1985 Lake Isabella, CA TLCA trail run Pics

Hi all, thought you guys might want to see some trail pics from about 22 years ago LOL. I was 15 years old when I sent a letter titled "looking for ride" to 4Wheel and Off Road Magazine. They actually printed it and the great members of the San Fernando Valley TLCA offered me a ride on a run. Bill Ferguson (a TLCA SFV Member) was actually a friend of my mothers friend and thus I was allowed to go on the run once they met (man how times have changed, I don't think I'd let me kids go now).
I believe this took place in July of 1985 and it was near Lake Isabella.

Mods feel free to move if this is in the wrong place.
Thanks for the look
Rich
Below: Me riding shotgun with another member of the TLCA SFV

Below, I rode with Bill Ferguson in his Cruiser sporting a 454 with a super charger...yes the headers looked spagetti in that engine compartment. Wish I had a picture of it.

Dude, that's pretty cool.

Awesome that you could get pics from such an old trip, and actually have them in decent condition.

I was born and raised right up the street from those pictures. They really remind me of what freedom used to be like. Awesome to see. Thanks for sharing.

awesome vintage pics. That is really cool. It would be even better if you still had the magazine that you were printed in.

Thanks guys, actually, I do have the original article, but I need to scan it. I'll try and get that up soon.

Great vintage pics. Reminds me of Growing up riding/learning to wheel in my Uncles 75 FJ40... The civic tho... nevermind...

Do you remember where the trail was?

The mud pics look like the East side of the lake when the water is low.

Great pics and short shorts!

Thanks for the blast from the past. I love them old simple days. Hate those tires though.
Great pics and great job preserving them.

GREAT GREAT PICTURES!!!
My transmission is laying on the floor of my garage waiting for a new clutch to come and those pictures pretty much drove me to the brink of insanity!
