I don't believe I've ever seen so many antennae. Lookin' like a bunch of 4WD insects. Can't fathom what anybody would need more than 2 for...but whatever...

One for the scanner, one for the HF radio, one for the CB [FM band], one for the stereo, one for the cell/sat phone, one for the ELT/EPIRB [if installed]
each radio/comms device needs a dedicated antenna for maximum effectiveness.

That wind sounds like it was howling...

Toyota has that sweet spot in my heart but I won't lie, that Montero is really sweet too What a different world of offroad fun than I'm used to in Colorado. Even with some snow wheeling we don't have a lot of places with that type of freedom to just tear it up (in a truck at least).

Looks like you guys had a blast, and that cabin looks like a great place to relax
