sand dunes?

whos had their truck in the dunes?
where did ya go?
how much fun was it?
how capable was your rig in the sand?
ive been wantin to take my yota to the dunes since i bought it, but still havent had the chance. i also ride quads (05 yfz450) so i get to the dunes a lot but dont have a good way to get the pick up all the way down there, its street legal but i dont think shed make it down to the oregon dunes very well.

ive been allover the oregon dunes in multiple toyotas.

they all went very well!

the only problem was they didnt have enough power to pull the really big dunes lilke razor back and v8. though i have made it up v8 in my 4cyl tacoma with 33's lol.. but it was a show!.

just make sure to air down to around 13psi.

They're good in the dunes! I think the lightness of the vehicle helps.

One more for Silver Lake, MI

Did pretty well, was my first time taking 4runner into the dunes. Aired down to 13 psi, only issue I ran into was remember to turn off the OD when re-starting the car. Got the trans temp idiot light at one point because I shut down/restarted in 4wd without remembering to kill OD. I was running around chasing a v8, some times I had to go in a little hotter than I wanted to, just to carry momentum to the top of the larger dunes.

x2 on pismo beach. Got stuck before airing down, but 10-15 psi and drove right out. Lotta fun. Made it up just about everything except a few of the longer climbs. Pulled a beached ford explorer twice! ^^
