Rimrock Lake Area/Bethal Ridge

Shane and I went out to Rimrock Lake to do some reconnaissance of the area this past weekend, what an AWESOME place! We didn't have a map of the area but had a list of the trail names, numbers, miles and a difficulty rating. Shane had his GPS and laptop with an ancient topo program and that got us around the mountains, we'd still be wandering around up there if he didn't.

We didn't get far on this trail due to the tree in the road.

It did have some cool rocks to look at along the way.

The trees were real tight in this section.

Hey Shane where are you going? The Divide Ridge......AWESOME!

WOAH! What was the pucker factor on that?

Come on up, if you dare.

Yes Shane it's 200' to the bottom.

The Divide Ridge trail from the top..........yes it's there.

Two poseurs at the mountain top mall.

Saturday nightscamp site. It rained hard that night.

The view from the camp site, Bear Lake.

Panorama from the mountain top mall. I can't get the bigger version to transfer.

Shane has some good GPS tracks he may post here.
