Penrose CO - Liberty trail May 12th

Several members of the Rockfrogs 4wheel drive club met up in Penrose @ 11am Saturday morning. We aired down at the Liberty trailhead. Couldn't have asked for better weather! The trail has changed quite a bit from the recent rains. I think it is much tougher then last year. There are quite a few "diff catchers" smack dab in the middle of the trail. With 33's, I caught my front and rear diff's 10+ times.

Here's the pictures

I think Jeff needs to adjust his front bumpstops

Hard to get in when the door is 5 feet above the ground

Wow

Exit of Liberty, the hard side is the left side.

Hung up diffs

Liberty is the easier of the two trails. Patriot is the trail to expect body damage, and a good chance of pulling the winch line several times. I will be running Patriot after I can build a front and rear bumper, and bigger tires. 35's are pretty much the minimum I've ever run on Patriot. 33's are the minimum I'd run on Liberty, I was hanging up diff's left and right

The 3rd Gen is CUbuffRunner's. It's a super nice rig with many trick, custom fab'ed parts.

Nice pics... looks like a really good trail.

That is one wicked 3rd gen for sure.

I searched "CUbuffRunner's" and " CUbuffRunner" to send him a PM about the doors, but YT didn't find him. Does he post on YT?

Thanks for sharing... makes Monday more fun.

I got a nasty-gram after posting pics that we didnt post run info, hope you dont get the same.
thankx for sharing the pics. LOVE seeing wheeling pics.
It's a pretty far drive from Denver just to take pictures Ric

I haven't gotten the nasty-gram. That's weird that I would need to post run info in order to post trip pics.

Here are the details on it when I originally built it to be used with the stock bumper. I have now moved the lower bars up and added the bar going across.
