Paragon AP September 26th

I've got my pics from today's ride (Sunday 26th) up on webshots. Take a look, save a pic guys.

http://community.webshots.com/album/192381435gwBRNW

There's some nice ones in there. Cheers.

And by the way... if you happen to have found a wallet with my name on it there's a couple cookies in it for you... and you can keep the cash for all I care.

Nice pics man... I should have mine up later this morning.

Cebby - no... none of the body work I've had done happened on the trail.

OK... here are my pics. I left the list of trails we ran in my truck though, so I'll have to wait till later to post those. Nic - good luck finding your wallet, and I stole 3 of your pics... you got a few that I missed.

Also - if anyone has any pics of me on the end of Blueberry, let me know. I missed that section.

I've got just over 100 pics (had 2 cameras going). Thanks to TStango for using my camera all day, thanks to Greg and Jason for the spotting. We had 5 Toyotas and 3 Jeeps. It was a good day.

Here are some of my favorite pics, you'll have to go to my site for the rest.

We had an awesome time yesterday. Great group to wheel with. I watched some of the video last night and will have to post some clips on the net in the next day or so. I'll keep ya posted.

Yeah... great trip. Thanks for letting me tag along.

I found my wallet... someone at Paragon turned it in and I just picked it up... gotta love wheelers, there was still 30 bucks in it which I wasn't expecting to get back.
I also have tons of video, like eight clips. I don't know how to post those, so just let me know if there's an easy way... if not I'll put them up on a site and you guys can download them from there.
We should do it again, anytime you guys want I'll be up for it. Thanks again.

It was good meeting everyone. It was a fun day (despite not be able to wheel my truck).

Here's an update on it: everything was cool until we got south of Harrisburg. It started to feel sort of funny so I pulled off, checked everything suspension and steering related in the front and rear and it looked okay. We hit the road again, and by the time we got near Gettysburg it was over. My driver's side wheel bearings must have blown out because it just started grinding and squealing and howling. My junk is still in Gettysburg (Rich drove me home) so I have to go pick it up tomorrow.

With all the front end repairs and replacements needed, I might just save up for a SAS. Either way, I'll get it fixed and it'll be on the trail with you guys next time.

Nic, I finally had the chance to look at the webshots slideshow.
Thanks for taking so many great photos and I'm glad to hear you and your wallet are reunited.
Jackson, thanks again for organizing this thing - I'll be there next time too.

Question... has anyone been on a monthly trail ride? Are they boring because you're in a group of eighty four stockers that won't risk much or is it laid back like we were? Any comments on them?

I'd have to go with Group 2, anyone know what kind of trails they ride? Thanks for the feedback.

It was great to meet you all, and I'll do it again in heartbeat, anytime anyone wants to go, I'd be more than happy too. I bought a crappy dent puller at Pep-Boys and I got a little bit out so far, just gotta keep working at it. Great pics nic and jackson.

I've been on a couple of guided trail rides. They are a lot of fun, but very different from Sunday's run. The nice part is that you've got a guide - so you spend virtually all your time on the trails, you have someone who knows the trails very well, and is an excellent spotter. However, the groups do tend to be bigger (both times I went we had groups of 10-15 rigs). For me, the biggest "thing" about the guided rides is getting in the right group. The first one I went to I got in with the right group and ran some excellent trails. The last 2 times I've gotten into groups that were running trails that were easier than what I was looking for.

If you get in with a group 2, you should be fine. Take a look at the other rigs in your group and make sure they are built similarly to yours. Even with 10-15 rigs in the group, it's better than sitting at home all day.

Hey Nic,
I don't have any digital pictures of that but I do have video. I can take stills off of the video but the quality isn't too good. I'm positive that some of the other guys in the group will have some good shots of that. Let me know and I can get you some stills tonight.

Yeah, I mean, I'll take whatever I can get. I've seen both Jackson and Greg's pics, so I know it wasn't in their pics... and I didn't see too many others taking pics besides us. I know Ken took some but I thought he was ahead of me by then and so they were all heading to where Greg did his major flex. Whatever I can get I'll take though.

Btw, anyone gonna be up there this weekend for the monthly ride?

What route did you guys run? I'd be interested to know what trails you've been on that I haven't.

This is from Jackson's post on 4x4Wire:

"Here are my pics. We ran Tutle to Inner Spare Tire to Outer Spare tire. Stopped for lunch. From there, we went around to Haul Rd, down Logging to Rock Swamp, up Pipeline to Doe Run to Haul Rd. Then we cut back to Pipeline and up to Blueberry, then to Valley Rd to Coal Rd and out."
