Well you wouldnt have to worry about carrying the tools in your bed,I have a box too and its not that full-I can carry anything that may slide around if need be.
If you can indeed buy the stuff at lowes we need whats listed here on thread pitch and size: http://sonoransteel.com/Diff_Breather_Parts.pdf
Toyota 90930-03136: 5/16? Barb
Toyota 90930-03031: M10 x 1.00 Thread Pitch
Toyota 90404-51319: M10 x 1.00 Thread Pitch, 3/8? Barb
Toyota 90404-51026: M10 x 1.00 Thread Pitch, 1/4? Barb
Nissan 38323-C6010: M10 x 1.00 Thread Pitch, 3/16? Barb
Should be simple enough. I wonder what my diff fluid looks like honestly as I went to a semi deep water crossing (very short) the other day on a local trail. I am sure its fine or I woulda had problems by now.
Hackettstown is about 1.5 hours from me..

i should be able to cover tools, and some recovery equip. i have a truck box, but i never have it in, so i carry most of my stuff in the back behind the seats, i usually bring my husky 100 and somthing peice set with me, some diff lug wrenches, flashlights, tow strap but its lost somewhere, and whatever else i think i might need, ill prolly bring a cooler too since id like to make a day of it.
as for classes im monday thru thursday in the AM/early afternoon...as for work, who knows, i just finished my seasonal job so im not so sure where im gonna be working now, so im looking, but if we set a date, ill tell wherever i work i want that day and the day after off, since hell, im gonna have to clean off my baby the next day.
as for the diff breather mod, im gonna go fuel line, i am still just not convinced on the artic mod...i mean i know it will work, i would just be worried it would somehow wind up off. also npt fittings and fuel line hose are both available at lowes, its an under 10 dollar job for front and rear. i just havent gotten the chance to do it yet...ps, what was the size of the npt fitting again?

I just have a small tool box in the back and a road side assitance bag witha compressor in it so you and CJM have it coverd for tools and such.
Where were you working seasonal?
I am still looking for a diffrent job, Superfresh is starting to get on my very last nerve....
Yeah the artic mod didn't have me to convince yet eitehr but to each his own.
I have no clue on the sixr of the fitting, is it the same or diffrent from my year as compared to yours?

i just changed the gear oil in both my diff's, i was gonna go syn, but it was just too expensive right now. i went offroading like 2 months ago, and went thru some rather deep water, maybe to just under the doors or so, and i found no water in my diff, and had no gear oil leaking out of the seals. but its not worth the risk. i didnt even have that bad of buildup on the magnetic plug.

I think you could match the pitch and the barb up possibly..
Otherwise yea all you gotta do is trial and error, I dont know if mine are the same, but if you can tell me before I do mine it will help.
Right now I think all we really need is some diff breathers and were set. We can always do an actual meet to plan the trip itself if you wanna make it an outing for more than one day too.
Thats a pretty decent job for a month, I work 30 hrs total, 5 days a week in a grocery deli and I dont even make that much!

Yea gas is $$ It costs me about 45 a fill as the T100 has a 24 gallon tank. This past semester with driving (I commute) I was filling up about 1x every week and a half for 4 months and gas was still almost 3 bucks a gallon!
I am sure I can figure out the diff breather mod, remove barb, attach new barb and route house as high as possible with zip ties.
Camo grounds sound nice, I have enough camping supplies too.. I'm an avid backpacker so got all the goodies besides a fullsize tent, well a new one-got a really nice old one though!
Anyway bedtime, I gotta be up for work.

Have you added!
Yeah to fill up the runner from empty is around the same price also prices are higher here...
close to $40 a tank....
I am in stop and go traffic the entire week, i have to fill up almost 2X sometimes 3X a week...
I was thinking of jsut sleeping in the back of the runner myself

But yeah roughing it for a change wouldn't be bad at all
Now I am headin off to bed....
Man how time flies...

I cant sleep in my truck lol, well I could but I am a bit to tall to lay on the bend seat and the rear has no cap soo....
During winter it wouldnt be smart to sleep outside anyways unless you have a cold weather bag and gear. Fortunetly I have an extra bag and know how to build a firewall that will keep us warm if need be, but it wont be a picinic.
Anyway off to bed, back to this thread tommorow..
