P-Vine Oregon

I snuck out early this morning to meet with a guy I called from craigslist about a "Used" set of tires last night. I met with "John" who happened to work for the parks department in Grants Pass oregon, and his "Used" tires just happened to be a brand new (or very nearly so) set of 31-10.50-15" Cooper discovery m&s' and what kind of deal did I get? try $300.00 for the set! Check out Craigslist for all of your wants and desires boys and girls. There is gold at the end of THAT rainbow!
So my next stop was to Les Schwab to have them mounted and balanced.
I had to do all of this before 10:00 am because that's when my wifes dad, sister, and brother in law were to show up at our house for our anual christmas tree run / 'wheelin' trip up in the mountains above Galice, in the Rogue National Forrest.
I get the tires mounted and ballanced and got home to SIX 4 wheel drive vehicles of varying size and shape in my driveway.
I guess other friends didn't want to miss out on the fun.
So we headed out, and found our way high up in the mountains in an area called P-Vine. There were still some patches of snow here and there, and the christmas tree assortment was pretty overwhelming, but we all found what we wanted fairly quickly because we wanted to get to the all-important 'wheelin' part of the annual trip.
We put our trees (With appropriate forrestry tags and legal paperwork) in the back of my wifes dads truck and he headed back to our home. His truck wasnt up to what some of the ladies and fellas wanted to go and do.
We headed down a muddy road to the main 4 wheelin area and had a great time. enjoy the photos below.
Later, tired and hungry, we got back to my house to find my wifes dad and his girlfriend cooking a huge pot of chilli and fresh baked corn-bread. What an awesome day.
