New Years Day -- West Rim and Lower Sliplock

After everyone finally woke up after being up too late on New Years Eve, the usual suspects decided to go wheeling clse to home. We couldn't convince Jeremy to take his 4Runner. He's got bad leaf springs, and didn't want to break anotherone out on the trail.

My 84 22r in all its glory. This is it's first trip since its been "done."

Cameron's 88. He runs on 35 MTZs, 4.88s dual cases

Here I am on one of the first big obstcales on Lower Sliplock. Went right up. I dodn't get many pics cause I was driving. I gave my camera to someone later and got more pics.

Top of the hill at the very top of the Sand Hollow Dunes. The Rangers came over and checked us out cause Cameron didn't have his flag. They were cool, exceprt that they were driving a Heep.

Top of the "Big" sand hill on the south side of the dunes. This is at the southeast end of the West Rim Trail.

Looking down the hill at the trucks.

Cam climb a nob off the trail. This is pretty slick. You've got to use some skinny pedal to get up on top.

Me putting rubber on the nob.

This is about 4 feet tall and steep, with a 90 degree turn into a vee at the top.

Up and through. Had some great tire flex looking out the window.

Proof that my bummper and sliders are up to the task.

Misc shots

Cam the poser. I will admit that I need more flex.

And back home with mud from Washington Dam Road.
The truck went everywhere I tried to take it and ran great. I had no problems being carburated. Who need EFI? I do need more flex, and I do have a bit of fender rub still with the 33s, but I can live with it for now.
All in all it was an awesome day for wheeling. The temp was inthe low 50s and lots of sun.
