I wish I could have run with you guys. Especially Hells Revenge and Hell's Gate. That's quite a rush.
I'll be going over to Mike Brown's house this weekend to watch all the video of you guys. I expect to see impresive things out of Schaefer, Hunt, Bruce and Cheese.

Man, awesome pics and adventure! Very inspiring.
Michael, hope you got home ok and drop the details of your custom bumper. It's nice to see a couple 4th gens in there, pretty cool.

Excellent!
That was the Rockpile and there was no real viable way to drive it without super big tires and breakover.
Looking at the video again, I had too much gearing in the first couple attemps. At the same time, I flogged it hard for a while and thought it was near the end of my luck and something was going to break.
Scott, I am not sure I did anything impressive, I was not myself for the first day and change.

Adrian, don't feel too bad about the double whammy part. It sounded pretty bad from where we were (around the bend) and thought someone was really tempted to break something

Adrian, don't worry, what happened was all in fun, the ribbing didn't bother me, just that we have to make sure it stays in the group. As for your attempt at DoubleWhammy, your rear bumper kept you from climbing, every try just slammed your tires under the ledge. I think any more, would have lead to something breaking.
I have a DVD burner and a LCD monitor, on the way, as soon as they arrive, I'll convert the video I took and make a raw copy for everyone, I won't have time to put any kind of production together.

Not even, on Pritchett Canyon run, Steve tried to crawl up a ledge and couldn't, then he had to bump to make it. He then gets on the CB and remarks "Lets see those MTR's do better" or something in that context, can't remember exactly. I then crawled that ledge without slipping a tire, no bump needed. There was no obstacle that Steve did that I couldn't climb that day before my air locker went out.

I heard the call on the CB and it was right when I was walking a ledge.
Thanks for the clarity Bruce, I wanted to be clear that your help with the strap, wisdom in turning wrenches and winch line in bad situations did not go unappreciated.
Steve's tires have done all right in Moab both times I was there with him. Saturday night I showed him my opinion of the tires, then he showed me what he thought of my winch and things were all right. Come to think of it, there were a lot of opinions shown that night.
I am a lucky man and felt like I was at the end of the luck with that attempt. All of the change from the ashtray is now strewn about the truck, I still cannot find the remote for my CD player, my ghetto bass broke free and general havoc ensued. The rear weight and overhang was killer along with my shorter wheel base.

If you include the financial aspect into performance the Homo's win, hands down. They cost 1/2 as much as the MTR's and perform just as well in that environment.

Geolanders cost $140 each and my MTR's cost $180 each......
