Knoxville Clean up report

With a lot of emphasis being put on land issues lately I wanted to share some pics from this weekends outing. Knoxville is an OHV area in Norcal located between Clear Lake and Lake Berryesa. It is frequented by all kinds of OHV users and it is a popular place to go and shoot guns. Like most of our areas it is being threatened to be shut down because of all the unresponsible people that go up there, blow stuff up and leave it. This event was put together by some guys on Pirate but there were people from over 10 clubs around this area that showed up. The Rangers and local sheriffs also participated and supplied everyone with the necessary equipment. Afterwards they also provided a killer BBQ for over 100 volunteers. When all the work was done we still had some time so a small group of us went and played for a while on a few hill climbs.

I have not seen a final number yet but I know for sure that we filled an industrial sized dumpster. The majority of the trash was junk left over from the shooters. I dont' care to see another shotgun shell for some time!

The pics
