Hollister Hills 4/14

Decided to check out Hollister Hills for the first time. It was only an hour drive down south so it's definetely a place I will check out more often. I would have thought that HH would be filled with people but only saw 2 others on the trail. It started to rain really hard on 101-S near Morgan Hill, but once I got to Hollister, it was sprinkling and the trails were somewhat muddy yet dry enough to drive through.

Started off at the Ranger's station and deflated my tires to 18.5 psi, then headed off to Area 5 and proceeded my way through Foothill Rd. to the Blues such as Rabbit Trail, West Trail, and McCray Rd. Since the Green were mostly wide dirt roads which didn't pose much of a challenge I decided to skip most of them. I also took on some blacks such as Truck Hill, Hill Climb Return Trail, and Fremontia Road, but with the use of the rear locker which made things much easier.

My undercarriage got banged a few times and made a nice scratch on my gas tank skid. So after the Squeeze Rock and the Stairs, I decided to call it a day since it was pretty much sunset. The only area I didn't go to was the East end of the ranch due to insufficient time.

I don't have any pics of the trip but I really wish I took some.

Overall it was a great time and would love to go back.
