This forest is only 40 mins from home yet I only just discovered it, the pics are of my first and only trip there so far,

We had a convoy of about 6 for this trip. Half way up this track a Nissan Patrol had electrical issues, we hot wired it to get it going after about three hours attempting to diagnos the problem, it was getting dark and overcast, had it rained the trucks would have been stuck for days before we could safely drive them out. No mobile phone reception and about 4 hrs walk to the nearest town,

There was a big 4B rescue mission up there last Sunday, a worked up 4 Runner and a Patrol slid off the track (sideslope) into the trees, about 8 rigs from our forum headed out there to the rescue. The call went out for help at about 4:00 pm Sunday, they finished the rescue at 2:30am Monday.
The handbrake wouldn't let me go out to play, I mean help
