That burned out FJ was next to a major road and has been hauled off a long time ago... actually before the 4Peaks cleanup that Tim organized.
Good idea though should we ever come across a rig abandoned on a more remote section of trail.

The best way to proceed on burnt-out-vehicle-choppy-tito is get the vehicles VIN or tag if possible, then let the MCSO know about it. They might advise you if it is stolen & if they plan on recovering it. Then, well, go be good samaritans. There are some federal funds for towing companies to recover salvageable vehicles, depending on what jurisdiction the vehicle is on. Forest Service can & will remove vehicles if brought to there attention.
A few years ago we found a Ford Escort down at Sheeps Bridge, right next to the river. With a big enough flood it could become part of the next rapid on the Verde River...
