Farmington New Mexico. 04.14.07

Today was my first big wheeling trip for a pretty long while. i had a blast and met some great people off of colorado4x4.org there were 5 rigs total: bronco on 37"s, 3 Jeeps with 33"s and my lone toyota. we ran RJ's Trail in Choke Cherry canyon. it had some good sized obsticles and always the option to get pretty wild if you were feeling adventurous. no breaks or body damage so that was nice. my 4runner did very well. i thought it did better then some of the jeeps.
The air down ritual.

Sweet Bronco. fun to watch.

This Guy was a competiton rock crawler...left the buggy at home. he was a great driver and a nice guy. it was cool to see him ease that up without lockers or difficulty.

this was optional. the big bronco made it after a few tries and Terry (the rock crawler) without lockers made the whole thing except for needing a tiny tug at the top.

This was the bypass.

walked right up.

It's a good 8 hrs down there, Brandon - I would want to go for longer than 3 days to justify all the travel time!

yeah i agree on that one. I've heard there are thousands of miles of trails out there. i was told about a lot of trails put in when they were looking for oil/gas. it would be real easy to get lost out there thats for sure. there are a lot of roads and a lot of intersections surrounding choke cherry. i wanted to explore more but i was afraid if i lost the group i would never get out. it is worth the drive!... just stay longer. thanks for the comments keep them coming.
