First off, thanks Pierre for organizing the event. It really helped tremendously as without your help this event would have not been as exciting as it would have been. I must say that this event was the most enjoyable trip that I have ever taken. We have a great bunch at this event! I will appologize ahead of time for leading you guys to nowhere as it was pretty much new to me too

Hike at Golden Canyon

Golden Canyon

One of many mines! (Did explore this one for a few minutes) - had to use my flash on my camera to see where the mine lead as we didn't bring any flashlights!

Additional photos can be found at here!

Videos will be added tomorrow. Long day today and just getting these photos were a chore.. Videos will feature the mud fest that everyone has been bragging about!

That's all folks! Yoko and I had a blast (although she did get bored quite a bit during the dull drives). The dry wash prerunning area was a blast. The fastest I drove on the wash was around 77mph!! (eek). Must say the long travel made a world of a difference and is worth every penny!

This trip was definitely a jam packed event. We had a great turn out (13 vehicles with 20 something participants). The terrain gave us the ability to do some mudding, prerunning dashes, rock crawling and the best was sightseeing different parts of the Death Valley that would have not been possible with out capable Toyota's! Hiking and exploring the cabins/mines/ranches were definitely a perk on this event.

I definitely look forward to next year as we still have many places to cover! Just looking at the map shows lots of potential for next year.

Man, the expression on your face was priceless when you discovered Yoko's artwork. It was even better when we encouraged here to add a table

I neglected earlier to give a big thanks to Good Times (Lance) for being volunteered as trail leader.

I think we all appreciated him stepping up to do it.
