Daniel Boone National Forrest
Hello all, Just got back from the Slade, ky area of the Daniel Bone National forrest. Me and my brother in his 98 ranger hit some "county" and forrest service roads. The first place was a county road that for all intensive purposes was a trail. We then headed over to a popular off road area which consisted of forrest service and county roads. We had a great time, though a bit wet and muddy which is typical for march. Here are a few pictures of the trip. Hope you can overlook the ford, since I was taking pictures the bulk ended up being his truck, but regardless it shows the trail. These are all from the menifee county road. Should have some more from my brother soon.
at the begining of the county road

down first hill, remember this is a public county road, Gps will route you down it, just wonder how many people inadvertly find themselves off roading.

Once down the hill portion, the creek bed becomes the road

Over all great trip, nothing was broken and didnt have pull the ford this time.

There was a number of spots where people had camped in the past as evidenced by fire rings. But since it is in the national forrest you should be able to camp anywhere you want as long as it is x amount of distance from trails.
