Colorado Spring at Bunce School Road 24Mar07 *W/Pics*
Well, I guess you can call it a typical Colorado spring day. It was rainy in the valley but it turned to snow the closer to the trail head we got. It then proceeded to snow all day. There were a few inches of new snow on the way back that completely covered our initial tracks.
In attendence was ~tc~, Lysmachia, neliconcept, Gerdo, and a buddy from a different forum in a YJ (Jason).
It was a blast on the trail and I was impressed with how my stocker "Moose" did especially with the street tires on it (10psi helped). It was awsome to wheel with the yota crew and to finally meet ya'll. I can't wait to go out again.
The only real carnage was from "Tippy" (Lysmachia). ~tc~ helped drive the rear end over a metal T-post blade and sliced a 35" MTR. It was about 5 inches long or so! Oh yeah, neliconcept bent his licence plate trying to turn around. He did awsome for only having 2WD!
Now on to the pics...

With the spot I got stuck at on the way out, I had to be asleep at the wheel!
There is a crew from CO4x4 going tomarrow. I bet it will have a good amount more snow on it.

frikkin incredible water! ("frikkin" is OK on this forum, right?) Nice pics folks. Mols, it's good to see Tippy out and about. It looks like the snow in the hills sure beat hell out of the depressing rain in the flatlands today. Weather, weather, weather...

I just got home from running this. How far did you guys get? We go to the top of that hill climb that was slick as hell. and said were done cause the atv guys had turned around before we did or atleast all the tracks ended.
I will warn anyone trying to run this in the coming days. The part where the tire was poped is TRASHED! I watched the tacoma that went with us slide about 10 feet down that on 2 wheels. Thank god he recovered because even on all 4 it was a 2 hour ordeal getting him up.
Ithink im waiting a while before i try to run it again...oh and the puddles are WAY bigger now. IT was to my hood and in some parts over it. coming back down the first part is now just a waterfall and is wetter then i could have ever thought...I have been running this trail for about 2-3 years and have never ever seen it like this. What a mess! We got to the trail head at 11 and its 6am now were just getting home...LOTS of winch time and LOTS of pulling the open ones out. I didnt get stuck but i did almost fall of the edge...ok so the snow drift held me for a few minutes and as it started to go over Kyle held it down while travis hooked up and drug me along everything he could find.. I will write more and get the pics when i get up....im going to dry off!

Thanks for the great Avatar! That was one of the smaller water holes. The first hole in is the biggest. On the way out it just crested on the tip of my hood. Would have liked a picture of that.
