That was about the point in the day that I didn't think we were going to get him out. I guess I was giving him the "You're screwed, I don't know WTF to do" look while spotting
Hahahaa, you can see his spare T-case output on the ground, I didn't notice it when we were picking up parts.

WE FOUND THE RING!!!!!! It was where she got out to spot me over the rock garden. Special thanks to Mark, MtnRunner (CO4x4.org) for the metal detector. While it didn't pinpoint the ring, it helped us know where to start digging!
Thanks to all for the kind words
We met a few peeps on the trail, who were very perplexed as to why we were up there wandering in and out of their Jeeps with the metal detector. One of them kinda scoffed at us thinking we were treasure hunters... But once they learned that we were looking for the lost ring, most were pretty supportive. One of them even started honking in celebration with us when we found it.
Again, Thanks to all! Now on to getting this thing insured...
Danny- thanks for your help with the thread postings and searching last week! Would you please let the fine peeps on Front Range know that we found it and thank them for me for their offers?
Nathan

I guess I meant why did Aaron feel that Jared was going to have issues making it out? Did he bust a front R&P, locker, or axle or something?

We had one rig with a broke R&P and it took two winches to work him out.

Every line we took him through he got hung up bad enough that a winch wouldn't get him out. We tried numerous lines with the rig and the winch and none of them seemed to be working. The left line would dig his spring hanger into the rock. If we took him on the right line that Cory went up it would destroy his driver side which still was in pretty good shape. We finally got it to a point where the spring hanger didn't catch but high centered him really bad. It did seem like nothing was going to work. We had to move the winch point yet again to get him off the rock that he was high centered on. The different angle pulled him off, but flopped him in the process.

Glad he got through okay though.
Again, sweet pics.

Holy Cross
Group headed up the first section
DIRTCO making it look easy
Cory taking the hardest lines possible everywhere he goes
He was close to making it!
Jarboarder showing us how slick Tippy Rock can get
Cory climbing Cleveland Rock with 3 wheels
Cory ends up making it in the muddest conditions
Headed down from the City
BV Carnage
Group shot at the Carnage enterance
Me taking the far right line up the first set of rocks
Cory once again taking the toughest lines possible
Jarboarder slipping off of his line over the rock
Passenger side slider is the only thing holding him from flopping
Me taking the sensable line
Jason taking the buggy line as well
Crazy how much sidehill he can take with his truck!
EROCK doing the best he can with his wheelbase
Same spot as he was in last year. No broken windshield though!
Cory taking the 5 foot ledge after V-notch.
Jason attempting the squeeze rock
Hold on bro!
Nobody was hurt, truck took some more body damage.
Gotta try it again
He ended up making it with some help from the strap
Cory on the exit.
