Clawhammer and Chocolate Thunder. 1-9-11

Ran Clawhammer and Chocolate Thunder at The Hammers today.
Was a damn awesome time.

Recap: Started an hour and a half late, Tom rolled on the lake bed, Bill popped a CV... 2 KOH racers passed us near the end of claw.. After Claw, me, renato, Zach, and someone else (blanking on his name...?) made our way to Chocolate Thunder. I walked up the trail, decided I was down.. and went 3rd out of 4. Didn't have any issues.

I think its safe to say that I'm the first full bodied IFS truck to make it through Chocolate Thunder.

First carnage of the day:

Claw.

Thats not a Tacoma..

Chocolate Thunder:

thats a wee bit close

Coming down after Chocolate.

Cool pics. Love to hit the Hammers one day.

Who is your bed buddy? I've seen those things everywhere lately and have no clue what the hell they are?

Looks like a blow up doll to me. I guess he gave up trying to get dates

Good job scuba, I woulda never though an IFS rig could make it through stuff like that.

Donuts + top heavy truck. You can even see the tracks he made.
We got the truck back over, pulled all 6 spark plugs (3.4 swap) and cranked it over. Put it back together, topped off the fluids and it started right up. Gave us a nice smoke cloud but ran great. We took out the windshield, popped out the back glass, and highlifted the roof back up. No further issues all day. Crappy part is.. he's got an interior cage sitting in his garage waiting to be installed.

And thanks Logan.

If only we could get that thing on a diet and make it lose 1500#'s. Then maybe it wouldn't throw cv's so often.

Glad to have you out again, Bill. If I wasn't so engrossed in my lunch I would have been down there lending an extra hand to the CV replacement.
