Carnage Canyon DUOR
This past saturday the off road club I started here at Denver University took our first trip. We went to Carnage Canyon and Lefthand Canyon outside of Boulder Colorado. We initially had 5 4x4's but one backed down once he saw the trail and the others 4wd broke. That left us with my 4runner, a cherokee, and a landrover discovery. The trail was pretty wet because of all the melting snow, but it didnt make it impossible. Only the discovery had to get winched out from being high centered once. I ended up doing the normal bending of the skidplates, especially the gas tank skid, broke off a tow hook, knocked the exhaust off a hanger, bent up my rear lower control arms (is this bad?), and the normal scratches. As you can see in one of these pictures, I was really close to that rock and ended up bending in one of my fender flares. Luckly it poped back out and now its only scratched. Here are some pictures from my website and here is the link to the clubs pictures. Overall, I would recommend this trail to all you Colorado folk right now because its open due to its low elevation and no snow!

I went up there last wednesday. It was okay. The mud made some of the rocks harder than they should have been, but no biggie. Only damage a small dent in the flange under the driver side rocker. I gotta get sliders. You should post in the trip planning section next time. I'd love to go. You all can come up and we'll run Gillepe Gulch and Jenny Creek. Not as hard as carnage, but a lot prettier.

Well, they are if you don't mind heavy body damage. The snow makes you slide all over the place. I was thinking later in the summer months. In autumn both trails are gorgeous. I have pics somewhere of the aspen leaves turning, but can't find them.
