Big Bear, CA....5/27/07
Met up with Smiling Jim and RobG for some wheeling in the So Cal Mtns today.
We ran Holcomb Creek and Gold Mtn. Holcomb was fun. Having 3 vehicles that acted the same made it easy. Ran into the Nowhitefenders crew at the middle rock garden. That trail was owned by Toyotas today.
We did Gold Mtn the opposite way most do. Started from 3N16.
We had planned to run John Bull, but with unlocked Jeeps and a broken Pinzgauer we opted not to go.
Here are a few pics...I will upload more tomorrow

Marc, It was a great trip...
I only got a couple of pics, will try to post 'em later...
John Bull was kind of comical. Watching Wranglers and Rubicons struggling to get over stuff that Marcs and Robs runners would make in 2WD. Anyway, after the show at gatekeeper we decided to go back and do Gold Mtn. That was fun too, I had never run it backwards...
Hey Rob, put some pics up! I think you snapped me nearly flopping the humpback slab on Holcomb. That should be worth a laugh or two....
The last guy I saw try that slab pretzel'ed and sheared his rear shaft...

Glad you guys had fun. I just went out for a day run to upper Coyote which actually turned out to be a pretty good run. Check it out on Mud.
One thing I've learned about Marc is that I can always count on one good poser pic

Great Trip, I haven't been out in a while and I think it really showed.
Marc - Great job leading the way, there where times when I couldn't tell which way the trail went but you never even had to slow down.
Jim - Great meeting you, love that Truggy it is super clean. I thought I had your near flop on video turns out I missed it. Sorry about that, we'll have to try it again.
The best of pics are below. Most of mine are of Marc through my windshield just after what would have been a great shot. If you guys want more or the high res versions let me know how to get them to you.
Thanks!

Good to see you again Rob, and Good to meet you Marc. (I was the guy in the no lift IFS 4runner)
We did Holcomb backwards on sat, John bull east to west sat night, Holcomb forwards, and dishpan backwards on sunday. Bent both my sliders this weekend, but i knocked my ifs BACK into alignment. No more pull to the right!
Here are a few pics that came from my camera.
