Another snow picture thread
I went out Saturday just for a quick little drive to see how much snow was left at Inskip. (tiny town with maybe 5 buildings) While airing down, a Jeep and 84 Toyota pull up in front to air down too. I headed out on my own first, everything going great till taking a little detour. Almost made it back on the road then the truck just sunk to the frame in snow
A few min later, here comes the other 2 rigs. The Toyota yanked me out after a couple tugs and I was saved Shook their hands, said thank you, and they asked if I wanted to tag along. Took them up on their offer since now I know someone would be there incase I got stuck again or I could lend them a hand. That short little drive of maybe an hour I planned on turned into 8 hours of fun in the snow to places I'd never been before.
So here are some of the pics from Saturday The rest can be found here.
Yes, a Jeep was blazing the trail since he was the only one with lockers, that'll change soon I think.
Here lies a dead Jeep, looked to have been stolen and just dumped there.
Here's me at the Philbrook Lake parking lot.
We all had our turn at getting stuck, score 1 for me, 2 for the other Toyota and once for the Jeep.
This was just some other people heading out for the night waiting to cross the bridge. Couple of them were pretty drunk and I was waiting for them to go over the bridge but they made it.
All in all, a very fun drive and I was again very impressed with my truck. Drove through some tougher spots but a couple runs at them, I made it through. Next time out, I'll be taking a video camera
