Here are just a few pics from today. This was a seriously snowy, cold run, with the folks from Colorado4X4.org. The temp reached 17 degrees according to one therm. on hand.
Out of the 10 rigs on the trail, only I and a stock Nissan Xterra on street tires were IFS, so, needless to say, we saw some awesome flexing. Two of the Jeeps were stock, and nobody had any problems on the trail. Some of the spur roads proved impassable. And, occassionally, we had to put a tow strap on the odd vehicle that wandered into a drift.
For lunch, WildHare brought a turkey fryer and pot, and several cans of chili were prepared. FirecrackerKTM brought some awesome homemade cookies. The dogs ran wild and had the time of their life.
For the most part, the primary obstacle proved to be snow. In spots it was very deep, as shown in the CO4X4.org thread pics:

At one point we came across what appeared to be a serious brush fire, but Forest Service was on hand, monitoring controlled burns while the snow on the ground provided a safety measure. We were all out of our vehicles in a hurry, Carhartts and work gloves on, ready to fight it...lol
Here are some of my own pics;
Jeeps, Jeeps, Jeeps!

Here I am towing out a Jeep! Should've aired down those tires buddy!
Thanks CO4X4.org folks for a great day
