2nd Annual Yotatech Squaw Ridge Trip 8/26-28/11

Well, The 2nd Yotatech Squaw Ridge Trip has passed ( my 1st ) and what can I say other than "Wow." The turn out was unbelieveable! People from all over Northern California showed up and even a member from Utah! (Kudo's to you 87wheels ) I believe the count at the beginning of the trip was 16 trucks, and by the end we were at about 13. All in all, It was a great experience, and an amazing trip for everybody. Everyone had a great attitude and really made the trip.

I'd like to thank:

dark_fairytales
shaggytrash
snowhite
highonpottery
stockwell45
space-junk
MK_taco98
RMA
NcalDyer
87wheels
outlawmike
Chrismcdowel25
redwolf3
twistedyota
87-runner
reynoso

For making this trip as fun as possible! Great trip everybody.

Also, special thanks to Shaggytrash for running up and down that damn mountain the whole weekend. props to you man. You will make this memorable for days to come.

Anyways, enough of my blabbering, Here's some pictures!

Squaw Ridge Album

Group shots:

Singles of everyone's truck:

I fully expect shaggytrash's pictures to be 100x better than what MKtaco_98 and myself shot. We did our best of trying to hop out of the vehicles, snap what we could and get back in. If there aren't any single pictures of your rig, i guarantee Shaggytrash got some.

As far as carnage goes? I was told that this trip was much harder than last year. I would say that the WORST that happened was either RMA's gas tank dent or Twistedyota's shredded tire. All of our trucks were damaged in one way or another, whether it be hitting the front/rear diff, crossmembers, or even smacking the exhaust tip ( myself ) all in all, everyone was a great sport and handled each course and bit of carnage with a great attitude!

Videos:

Videos will be posted up shortly. Shaggytrash is staying the week with his family and his editing time will also take time. Until then, I'll upload mine when I get to editing the profanity and commentary out of it.

This is the only video that hasn't required editing. Its just the overview of the camp on saturday morning while we were waiting for Highonpottery and Redwolf

Thanks for getting pictures up so quick. It's great to see all the rigs again from safely behind my laptop.

Hope everyone made it home safe and sound!

Wow, great pics, Man! Looks like you had a great time! Hey, .... that Red 4Runner on the end, 4th pic down,..... Is that aftermarket, kinda smokey Red/darker red? I've never seen that color, EVER... unless it's just the lighting of the pics.

Anyway, awesome, wish I could have been there!

its not original... its a very expensive paint job... and factory graphics, and a VERY clean 1UZ swap...

Uh...have you looked at your drivers side rear tire yet? Your fender lip cut at least 1/4-1/2" into your km2s all the way around the circumference. Saw it when we were airing back up.

Glad we all made it there and back ok with so many rigs this year. I'm going to do some maintenance on my truck then try to head back out there before November if anybodys interested. I think I might run it all the way to mud lake in one day and then wheel strawberry back to hwy50.

My son and i had a great time .. super cool people , thanks to everybody for that .

Mak, 87-runner and reynoso are 2 members you left out .

and id have to say it was a little harder last year than this year .. the rock garden had a lot more rocks piled up and made things easier along with no huge mud hole to get stuck in and no 15' tall x 40' long snow drifts on the edge of the mountain to pass over (ask stockwell about that one).. wasnt really hard just fun . Id have to say its a fun challenging trail for stock trucks , but not much for the locked ones.

Ill post some pics this afternoon and work on the video i have .
and I might have my son drive the whole trail next year

edit * Ohh and stockwell that bumper is even more impressive in person man .. good job on that again.

haha Yeah I know its there, but its not from the rear fender... I had put the tires on before I did the pinch weld on the front... I just rotated the tires, so the backs were the fronts initially... so that's why they have the cuts in them.

Also, I'd be interested in going up again in november.
