1st time Rattlesnake Bar

We decided to hit up Rattlesnake Bar, very last minute kind of thing. Left at 430ish got there around 520. Unfortunately our fun was short lived due to my buddy breaking his pitman arm. Limped back to the main road, left his truck there and went back to Sac to get his spare arm, then went back and fixed it. It was impo...ssible to drive on the freeway due to the alignment and camber being very off so we took it to the streets which was a very long drive home. it was a blast nonetheless and definitely not our last time at Rattlesnake Bar.

Heres a couple shots of the guys:

My stock pile of treasure.

My buddys truck, 15 min after this shot was taken, went down to the little rock garden and somehow his pitman arm broke.

Another buddy's truck. SASed turbo pickup

I guess 35's and pitman arms don't get along

Loving the scenery

looks like the idler arm went not the pitman arm. If it was the idler arm he's got two options if he doesn't want it to happen again or at least strengthen that part. 1 get a brace from NWOR. or 2 get a total chaos idler arm. 35's and the weak idler arm on ifs trucks bend and brake easy. here's a pic of what i'm talking about.

I stand corrected. lol

Yeah a couple weeks before, he went and got an alignment, and the mechanic told him that his steering parts was wearing out and that his idler arm

needed replacement. He wanted to wait after hunting season to replace it, but I guess he has to now. He ordered everything today. Not sure if it was

TC's though.

jaino240 - lol your buddy bought NorcalSVX's truck? I own his skid plate and its on my rig now. we should go wheeling sometime, My brother, my friend eric and I always go wheeling and bring the girlfriends and what not. Sometimes our buddy brandon comes but he's usually busy. I wouldn't mind grouping up one time and having a rattlesnake bar day! Plus, I know alot about norcalSVX's truck. I literally studied his truck when i first got into the 4 wheeling hobby. lol

the one in the pics is a cheapo piece from advance auto parts with the NWOR brace. I'm only running 33's and beat on it pretty good and have yet to see it get loose or come close to fail. Not to say it is indestructable but works for what i need.

Yes he did. haha

And yeah that sounds like a good plan. As soon as my buddy deals with his steering

issue we should be good to do another run. Maybe in November, midterms kickin my butt

right now too.

Its a decent truck, needs minor work here and there, lol, all in all it runs and drives.

@Mightymouse: So running 35's you should definitely get TC's then right? Im only running 31's but

I do plan on upgrading the idler arm to TC's. I like my

rigs overbuilt.

I see, Im not sure how much he got it for, but it does need smog. I'm letting him use my

spare cat to get it smogged. I have a spare OEM cat for when somg time comes. I think

he told me it had an aftermarket cam in it too, so we're working on getting a stock cam

out of my old 89 P/U put in, tune up etc. and then hopefully that should do the trick.

He likes the exhaust, but IMO its too damn loud! haha Expecially when going on road

trips, no bueno. lol
