Missouri Yotatechers Unite!!!!! (kansans, iowans, etc welcome too)

ok all you missourians, (kansans, iowans, etc are welcome too i guess) this thread is based of the one in OT:
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...5&page=1&pp=20

but i feel it has now moved to the planning stage, so vote on which day is better for you and whether or not you want wheeling involved.

if we dont wheel, the we will meet in columbia missouri to discus anything and everything, (missouri 4ROC, etc)

if we wheel, it will be in nearby fulton, mo at the offroad park there, all levels of modification are welcome because of available bypasses. trucks, suv's and atv's/dirtbikes are all welcome for $5/vehicle or atv camping is also available.

so pick either 5/1 or 5/2 i can do either one or both if we want a multi-day event and i will be happy to lead the trails.

actually, from STL it is prob less - driving the speed limit, AFAIK. (i have friends who make columbia in 1hr 15min. if you drive like they do: calloway county doesnt allow you to change speeding tickets to defective vehicle, fyi)

edit: it is I-70 exit 148 then south on US 54

Peter-this sounds cool, esp. w/ camping! I'm pretty much open to any weekend...I'll make the time. How will my stockorunner sans running boards do at Patowatomie ORP? You mentioned bypasses to the real trick stuff, so I'm guessing I'll be cool.

as of now, it will be sometime the w/e of 5/1. the park is a free ranging place, so you can camp pretty much anywhere including by the lakes, etc. stockers are welcome, i would recommend at least front and rear tow points just in case. anything else is always a plus

DOH! I'll be in Colorado that weekend

I'm feeling very conflicted...I want to be apart of a Midwest gathering, but I will be running Left Hand Canyon and hanging out in Estes for a week.

Oh well, have fun...and if you want a warm up for this gathering come on out for this https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...870#post282870

im starting to think both actually....

in reality it seems the only rigs that get pictured are ones with 10k worth of mods even though i seem to be keeping up with most of them through the park

Off-Subject a bit

Peter-

I was in Columbia last Thursday night for a tradeshow and as I was heading east on I-70 between Columbia and Booneville I saw a white 4Runner (2nd or 3rd Gen) westbound with black Rockcrawlers, lift and what appeared to be 33's and maybe a wilderness rack. It looked good...

Do you know who that might have been?

no clue. modded yotas arent really prevalent around here, there is a lifted ifs 1st gen on 33's that is white rolling around campus, and a few LC's and a 2nd gen pickup, but thats it as far as modded rigs go. there are some 2nd and 3rd gen runners around but they are stock. tons of lifted poser heeps though.

there's a white second gen in the photos on your clubs page as an aside.

Count me in for Saturday.

I've noticed there are actually pretty many of us in MO on the list now, and I was wondering if there was a MO Toyota club the way there are for Jeeps?

Peter you're lucky in that your club in central MO is an all vehicle club. In St. Louis, the only clubs I can think of are all Jeep specific, and as nice as most of those guys are, I really like the idea of wheeling with more Toyotas to see how our similar vehicles handle things.

I went to Sayersbrook Bison Ranch today for instance, and I'd say we had about 50-60 trucks rolling of which, including myself, we had three Toyotas, and one Suzuki. Every other car was a Jeep. One 2004 Stock/locked Tacoma and a late model 3rd gen running on the 15s. Those 15s and the little tires really got that guy into some trouble. I was amazed at how low it was having never really seen one in person and known it.

that white 2nd gen belongs to a guy named bennie. no lift, just a set of 31X14.50 boggers, welded rear and its a hillclimber, hes building an fj40 right now because he busted his chain drive t-case after years of hard abuse.

oh, and bobzemuda, you and everyone else are welcome to come wheeling with us anytime. how long does it take you to get to the bison ranch?
