MP3 CD burning question

So I'm using Roxio Easy CD Creator 6.

I like to make MP3 CDs for my truck. I have all my albums in folders on my computer. The problem arises when I try to burn a whole album that I have downloaded from the internet. What happens is all the songs in that folder will play out of order. But when I put the albums that I have put on my computer from the actual album itself, it all plays in the correct order.

So I guess my question is, why do the albums I download from someone else not play in the correct order, but when I use albums that I ripped onto my computer, this does not happen?

I am normally downloading via AIM file sharing. It really sucks, and Im wondering if I should use another program or what?

the computer normally decides to put them in an order, its normally alphabetically.... some programs wont allow you to change the order, some will... you must find out if your program allows this

If you are burning as data cds, it *should* order them alpabetically with roxio. Are the files named with numbers in order? If not, try renaming them with numbers and see if that puts them in the right order on the cd. The software you download with would not have any affect of the problem you are having.

You should also check out Nero to use for burning. I have found it is much better software to burn with.

The songs all have numbers before the name. So thats not what it is. Im thinking its just Roxio being weird. Ill try another program, but dont want to pay for one... oh well
