werid issue I installed my sony xplod deck and now my clock resets
I installed my sony explode stereo today seems to work fine. I pulled the keys out the ignition then turn it back on the deck has been reset along with my clock like the battery went out.
Do you think I blew a fuse or something?

The problem I have no diagram what wire is what on the deck I know from previous stereos that the red wire is ususally the ignition and the yellow is memory that's what color those wires are on the deck am I wrong in assuming that's what they are? Also why would my factory in dash clock reset too?

I have also seen some decks use a pink one. Do a search on the deck model number in Google and see if you can find and online diagram. Oh...also the memory wire on a deck should also have a fuse, check that if it had one.
Good luck!

That doesn't sound right. I've got an Xplode CDX-C5050X deck, and my yellow is the constand and red is my ignition wire. Flip the wires and I bet it will work great.

I found 2 problems the deck had both memory and igniton wires taped together using electrical tape I guess the previous owner of the deck did this for some stupid reason it was hidden it looks like he had stripped wires in the middle and twisted them together then put electrical tape over them. The other problem was the dome light fuse blew that is the hot lead for the radio memory and for the clock and for the interior dome lights so this explains why it was doing that now it's fixed finally. I also installed my MB QUART Discus DKD 110 4" Speakers in the front boxes.
A sort of side shot of the deck I took a front picture but all of them came out blurry as hell.
