jvc chameleon

does anybody have any likes/dislikes/suggestions about the jvc chameleon deck?

I always wanted one...but I needed MP3 capability. Do they offer a version that does MP3's now?

I used to have the KD-LX50 I believe. I had it in my old car. That thing got me a ticket once because it had the true flat face on it and not the rotary knob. The flat volume button used to get stuck in the up position and just keep going up. Happened with volume going up more than going down.
I guess they had a lot of problems with that, so they came out with that rotary knob on the next series.

Had 2 friends that had them and they are pieces of crap. Both of them had problems with the face not coming down and the CD not coming out. Also one of them just completely stopped working. They ended up both getting a new deck after the 3rd or 4th malfunction.

I got one for almost two years now .. works great .. never had a problem. I love the stealth look, espceically with the custom install I have with it.

I had one for a while and really liked it but as others have stated I soon ran into problems with it... the buttons on mine were a PITA after a while...

also my deck skipped like you would not imagine...
