How do i install door speakers?
I have a 1990 2door runner and I want to put 6.5's in the front doors. I got the idea from pics on this site. I know I will have to put spacers in to make it work. Could someone who has done this already give me some tips please? and pics of the process would be great if you have them.
I'm also open for suggestions if you have a better place to install the speakers than in the doors.

You can also use speaker pods for 6.5" ones like I had in my old rig, the '91 4Runner.

you have to either remove the door pocket or modify it for the speaker to fit as this is the only place in the door you can install a 6.5" speaker. I also chose to install the crossovers inside the door to keep them out of the way

I also highly recommend the QLogic kick panel pods.
Do a Google search on them and you will find what I'm talking about.
I had them in my 2nd gen and the sound was amazing.
