i have heard that profile is a pretty decent amp for being an economy amp and will power your sub just fine. Crutchfield has great service for their products and is great to deal with, but unless they have a sale going on their prices are way too high. for example you can buy that amp off ebay new for $55.

REALLY?!? man i was under the impression that they were good. I was ready to buy it. So no on the kx? The MTX seems to me like it would underpower that sub.

I know crutchfield is wayyy to expensive. I was planning on buying it from ebay. But i need to be sure that it'll be sufficient for my sub. I want this to be money well-spent you know what i mean?

It seems to me that it wont.. That amp is REAL wattage rated at 12. bridged it will slam that 12.. For the money you can beat it at all.. Otherwise, save a few more bucks and looks at more power from fosgate, orion or sundown... They are all real.. also like i said before, belive it or not that jbl1000.1 is very moderatly rated, we bench tested one that was putting out over 1000 watts at 2 ohms rms, they only claim 975 rms i beleive... anyways, the rt202 will do the job for you until, more then any low end kicker amp... the only kicker thats woth a damn is the kc1000x and it actually is prone to burning up at 2 ohms so yeah...

that should be a good setup. are you going to try and install it yourself or are you going to get a professional install?

just curious more than anything. As long as you understand basic electrical you will have no problem doing it yourself, its really not that hard, and if you have any questions you can always ask.

Yea I installed my previous amp. The only thing i'm a little worried about(not so much worried as confused) is how to wire the sub since i wanna make it 2 ohm. And how to connect it with the box. Probably pretty easy stuff but i dont know what type of wires or connections will I use.

i would use 10 or 12 gauge speaker wire that you can pick up from your audioshop or online. Is that what you were asking?
