4 12s in my 95 4runner?
I was wondering what the best type of box would be to use in my 4runner. I have 4 MTX 12" subs from a previous vehicle that i want to use. So should i build a sealed, ported, or bandpass box?

What in the sam hell is wrong with that? Why dont we just ban everyone with a lift then too? Or maybe a snorkel?
I had 4 L7 12s and 2200watts rms on each of the 4....(yes 8800w rms total) Now I have 2 DD 9915s and about 7200w rms. Hell I've been kicking around the idea of doubling power (to 14.4kW rms) building a ported power-v behind the rear seats for 16 L7 8s!
You going to push for me to be banned too?

how is that combo lame?
even the lowest entry level MTX sub is not that bad. Typically for the money they are better than most of the competition's with a few exceptions here and there.
For a truely budget sub that holds my #1 slot would have to be http://www.incriminatoraudio.com/ 's very own 187 (ive used their Death Penaltys, their flagship woofer, and wow thats an amazing sub - better than my current 9915s which are very hard to beat from an spl standpoint.) #2 budgets sub would have to be JLw0 series

I had those 4 MTX 4000 series 12"s in a box ported through to the cab of my 87 toy. With an Alpine V12 MRV1000 (2x100 watts) I hit 139.9 db's. Thats pretty darn good for only 50 watts per sub! Naw I dont think thats going to be lame in a 2nd gen 'runner! I have a set of PSD216 MB Quarts to back them up with, running off of a V12 MRV-T500 amp. So my total system power is only going to be 3oo watts, the same power i had in my truck

like dont just put a amp on the subs get a 4 channel amp and run it to you regular speakers, and if they are stock upgrade them
it will sound sooo much better, because with 4 subs just to hear the music from your regular speaker will strain and not sound so good
like right now i have two amps a
2 channel rockford fosgate 200 watts per channel rms running my two 12 inch r/f
and a kenwood 4 channel 70 watts per chanel on 2 component r/f and 6x9 rf
and i still had to turn the subs down so they woudnt over power my music
