It looks like you already have 2x2 sliders. Are you replacing them? Are you still using 2x2? If not, what and why? I still have time to change my mind. I'm still afraid that the 2x2 looks too massive! I want to bulid right the first time.

I have a set I made out of 2x2 square tubing. I copied 4crawlers kickouts, I liked the concept and they are tough. I have dropped the sliders on rocks that have made my passengers jaws hurt (normally dont drop it too hard on my side, cause I can see the drop offs heh). Other than some scratches through the paint they are holding up quite well.

I ground them off of the frame, and made a U bracket to bolt them on.
