New to Gilbert, Arizona... Vehicle Reg. ?'s
Ok, I just relocated to Gilbert, Arizona and I would like input on what the process is to get my vehicles registered, where to get them smogged or smog checked and shops to do this. Also, if you have a 2nd gen., what are your registration costs?

Welcome.
The MVD here has a pretty decent FAQ on their site here:
http://www.azdot.gov/mvd/faqs/script...ory=2&Keyword=
You can also do alot online at this site but it's mostly for folks that are already registered and just need renewal. There is also good info on the right hand sidebar about where to get smog testing.

Reg fees are based on your vehicle value so if your 2nd gen is a 90 instead of a 95 it will be cheaper. For a comparison my 86 is due now and is $20.19 for a year and $31.69 for 2 years. Most of that is basic fees. My actual tax is 10 bucks a year.
Good luck.

Also I've had really good luck with this office
Mesa Southeast
4123 E Valley Auto Dr
Mesa
85206
They're pretty organized and efficient.
Somehow missed this page for newcomers in my first post too.

Thanks for the info...
Just curious...I've been coming out here to visit with my sister and go wheeling up in Sedona the last 5 years...Are there any local trails that I can take my 4Runner on a shake down...nearby of course...
Cross streets are Higley and Pecos...I live in the San Tan Ranch community.
Also, how often do I need to get the vehicles smogged?

Welcome to Gilbert! There's Butcher Jones, that's a really close to you. If you head north on Power all the way past saguaro lake a little bit. you'll see most of the local 4 wheelers there.
