3rd gen runner SAS spring ?

I hate to post a thread on this with no real progress yet (im still collecting parts), but I hate to get something and it not be right if it can possibly be avoided... Ok its a 97 runner with a custom winch bumper that weighs close to what my ARB did. It does have a winch as well. Rear custom bumper close to 125lbs. I will be adding a full exo mated to a partial in-cab cage with a rear swing-out tire carrier. I like the height of steve schaefers' 4runner with the spring under just because of the extra "tippiness" of the 4runners and its really all I need. I would like to get close to the same height outcome of his except Im not sure the springs he used would be good for all the extra weight mine has. Any input is very much appreciated and once again sorry I have no progress pics because I haven't began the swap yet, just getting the preswap stuff straightened out.

If you are going to go Spring Over I would imagine the only way you are going to get close to Schaeffer's height is via stock waggy springs which a lot of Tacoma guys use. I think they come in 5 and 7 leaf packs so you can probably mix and match and get it about where you need it to be. You will also be heavier than Shaeffer, especially up high with the exo and rear tire on the back.

Im most likely going spring under just for the fact that I dont want it too high and his seems to have some pretty good flex.. Later on if I end up doing full width axles I might change to spring over, but not for now.

In that case I would talk to Schaeffer, if you are going to SUA and keeping the shackles in front he would be the only person to talk to.

well thats what Im wondering, if those will be good for the weight... I know when you order springs from alcan they ask you for the extra weight amount if any, I wonder what schaefer told them about the 4runner weighing more. I should probably call steve, I just hate to bother him. He'll probably chime in when he gets a chance, if he notices the thread.
