On my 84 yota, I am trying to replace my rear leaf springs, and I have everything removed except for the front hanger bolts. I have removed the 2 retainer bolts on the outside, and the nut from the inside, but this bracket/bolt will not come out... is there something I am missing, or are they just probably frozen up??? Any help would be appreciated...the saw is my next option...lol.

Likely the pin is rusted to the inside of the rubber bushings. One option is to heat up the pin with a propane torch to see if you can soften the rubber's bond on it. Otherwise, try wedging a flat bar under the edge of the pin to try and lever it out. Also, repeated applications of penetrating oil to soak in and soften the rubber will help if you have a few days to let it work.

We had to cut them off with a saws-all. Cut them outside the hanger, then slightly spread the hanger and drop them out. NEVER was able to get the stub out of the spring.

I had to do the same thing, cutting them out sucks, I would suggest large doses of penetrant and massive amount of prying and hammering.

Or you can do what I did.
Use a 2 jaw puller to push out the pin half way (make it a pin by cutting of the head of the bolt). This will streatch the rubber bushinmg with the pin even that far. Than you put a few drops of "goof off" or any tar remover on the bushing where it bonds with the pin. This will almost instantly break the bond between the pin and the bushing. Than you repeat by pushing the pin out the otherside.
