Hand throttle

I was looking around on the sleeoffroad website the other night and saw a hand throttle for a LC 80. I was wondering who all have put a hand throttle in their truck and if they used this one or what. It looks like the slee one might attach to the pedal or maybe i am looking at it all wrong, but i wondering if somehow i could adpat it the throttle cable on the engine but im not sure if it long enough. anyone hae any input?

Maybe something like this?

Try PM'ing the writer of the article. Maybe they can help you out with any follow up questions you might have.
I think I might eventually do this when I've fixed my major problems.

hmmmm... i might do this to my truck, already know how to mount it... my truck is very simple actually, might jsut route it where the cable passes through the firewall for the guage cluster.... thats actually really close to where the real throttle cable comes out of the firewall and into the engien compartment

dont have any pics, but on ly old 4runner I used an old throttle cable from an airplane (worked at an airport and we had several lying around) and it did the trick nicly. It's great because it was stiff so you could easily hold a certain RPM.
I think you can find them at the shops near an airport (if it's a small one) or online. I remember running accross one at the Cherokee store (when picking up a new prop for the plane) and it was something like $5 dollars or less.
