Demello Offroad 4th Gen Rear Bumper Pix!
Thanks Demello Offroad for finishing this difficult project! These guys can make anything!!!
Everything is very secure and there is no way that rear tire carrier will come off. A grade 8 bolt secures that so I have no worries. The carrier swings out w/o any effort and is held down by pin lock which is hidden behind the license plate. Lights will be added for the plate next week.
For those that don't have a 4th gen and wondered why the rear bumper is sooo big is due to the frame sitting very low. The bottom portion of the side plate is pretty much where the frame is just behind it Jason @ Demello had a very difficult task trying to build a rear bumper that wouldn't be too heavy let provide excellent protection as well as better departure angle. Hitch is integrated into the rear ladder frame (last link) so I can still retain my towing capabilities. Because of the additional weight of this bumper along w/ the rear tire carrier, I added a daystar spacer on top of the Downey coil. Currently I sit at 39" front/rear (ground - bottom fender). Figure with the addition of the M8000 winch and the synthetic rope I'll lose 1/4-1/2" in the front so that should be perfect
Wiring on the aux fog lights will be done when I find some free time Looks like that exhaust will have to go... doh!
In the meantime, time to test this on the trails!!
We have a few more goodies in the mix but that'll have to wait until next time.

Lance, you have turned your 4th Gen into one serious, awesome truck. It does kinda' look like a really cool Tonka truck. Too bad Toyota will not sell one that way.

Last time I talked to Lance the bumper weighed about 55-60lbs if I remember correctly. Just wait tell ya see what else he is hiding up his sleeve.

Very, very cool Lance.
I especially like the knuckle-style hinge on the gate.
Now you just have to get your CB deck relocated to somewhere other than hanging on your visor in front of your face...
