Breakover angle vs. departure angle

Which is more important: breakover angle, or departure angle? I'm building a motorhome/camper box on the back of my longbed '81, and the stock 7' bed is just a little too short. I want 8', and the extra foot can go either between the wheels (extend the wheelbase about a foot with Ford springs flipped backwards) or dangle over the rear. Which would you do?
