the ARB locker is $650 and a compressor is another $200 plus $300 for install.
not a trick question, not everyone has that kind of dough.

Oh that's right they did have another locker out, I remember reading about them:pat: , but then again, the air locker is a better choice for the front, unless you have manual hubs.

The 3rd gen Aussie locker has not been released yet. I am on the mailing list along with some other guys on here, and none of us have heard from Bill yet. They said November of 03 - so much for that.

Soft locker: Disengages based on rotation and pressure while turning to avoid severe tire wear and loss of control on slick roads, its either on or off.
LSD: Limited slip, which means it will spin both tires under certain conditions, but with too much pressure from one side or the other, it will slip to prevent tire damage. Better for street use.
Selectable: Either on or off. Best for street use because you can turn it off on command.

The 8" V-6 4 pinion application is still not out. That will work for all V-6 Toy 8" thirds.
Lockers lock both sides together when throttle is applied.
LSD's lock both sides together when one side slips and will release again should the side to side difference become too much.
ARB's and E-lockers lock both side together when the switch is depressed and unlock when it is pressed again.
I would not spend my money on anything but a selectable locker.

It means they don't make one for you, yet.
So, in an earlier thread I suggested you try an aussie locker (I didn't know they weren't out for the V6 thirds) and you automatically rejected it. But now you say you don't even know what it is?

I don't think it's too hard to figure out what an ASSIE LOCKER is.
I just didn't understand the term soft-locker.
Now that I understand what it means, I still don't want one.
