Head gasket problems

I recently purchased a t-100 4x4 automatic and it ran good. Then I noticed that it was getting low on water/antifreeze. So I fill it up, and I notice it boiling over into the overflow. I then check the cap since this is happening way to often and it is bad, so I replaced the cap. Less than 3 mins after I replaced the cap the enine started missing really bad and even quit on me twice. I remove the new cap filled the radiator again put the old cap back on to allow pressure to escape via overflow and made it home just fine. It is my belief that the head gasket is blown on the drivers side and the new cap allowed the engine to build up enough pressure to push even more water into the cylinders causing these problems. mI pulled the plugs and the drivers side plugs were all wet. The other side was dry. So looks like this is a head gasket, I guess I could do a compression test to be 100% sure but I think its a waist of time at this point. Does anyone know around about how much it will cost to have a head gasket replaced? Ballpark maybe?

It's right in the ballpark, provided that it's a 3.0 v6 and not been done by Toyota after 1996

YES! You were correct! This is way to cool. I can't believe that I just saved this much money. It will cost me around $400 because I had a pully, fuel pressure regulator and timing belt along with all the belts replaced. The pully and regulator were manditory as they were bad. But the head gasket is FREE! Thanks so much Dudebud.

Ok here is an update in case you might have wondered. I just got my t-100 back from the toyota dealer with a brand new shiny head not only that but the valve cover gaskets are also new which means all my oil leaks are gone. The truck has plenty of power now and runs great. Thanks again Dudebud.
