Can anyone tell me which year and models came with an 8inch rear dif? I have a 95 4Runner with a diesel motor and I am trying to find a 3.58 ring and pinion. I was told that some 2wd trucks had 3.58 gears and I have located a 7.5" set but no 8" set. Thanks. If you have a set please call me 816-682-2825

I've read that the 8'' were in 2wd trucks that came with a 4 speed manual trans or with the v6.

Thanks Robert, The salvage yards all want a specific year and model before they will even look something up. If I get that then I can get the vin and hope the code is right.
