Wheels are powder coated... Will have paint for the center caps tomorrow...
Ordered a set of 4600 Bilsteins from shockwarehouse.com $282.00 shipped
Ordered a set of 99 Tall Springs, front and rear from Toyotapartzone.com, also ordered to upper and lower ball joints. $520 shipped...
Also I scored a 99 Center Console, with Ebrake Assembly for $65.00 shipped in a part out... Cup holder mod....
Now... Get all this ˟˟˟˟ installed, get it aligned, and tires... As for tires, I know I want a set of 265/75/16s I don't skimp on tires so I'll list the brands I'm looking at...
BF Goodrich All terrain TA/KO
Michelin LTX A/T
Nitto Terra Graplers
Bridgestone Duehler A/T
What do you guys think?

Well I got in a little wrench time yesterday, and everything turned out nothing short of amazing. I ended up going with the Bilstein 4600's with the 99 "Tall" Springs. I also replaced the LBJ's while I had it taken apart. I noticed that my rear passenger side axle seal was leaking, I will have that addressed this afternoon when I have the front end aligned.
Here is a shot of all the goodies before installation.

And here is a before picture
[IMG][/IMG]
And an After with my buddy Brice's 4Runner
[IMG][/IMG]
And Right before Happy Tire Monday
[IMG][/IMG]
And the Finished Product... Running BFG All Terrain TA/KO 265/75R16's
[IMG][/IMG]
So after driving it with the new springs shocks and tires... the verdict is, it rides great... I actually ended up getting a little more lift than I had expected. The front Height from Ground to wheel well:
Before: 33.5"
After: 35.5
The Rear Height from Ground to wheel well:
Before: 34.25
After: 36.5
Since the 4runner is mostly my daily driver, this is the perfect height. I am very pleased. Now next stop figure out whats going on with the 4 wheel drive system, Audio, roof rack, and then... bumpers, and possibly another 4Runner... Stay Tuned folks...

So the axle seal wasn't as easy as it sounds... However it is fixed, also the 4 wheel drive issue ended up being a bad wire replaced that, and it worked like a charm. Drove the truck 3 hours up to the farm, and 3 hours back... Ran like a dream, was able to snap a few photos from the journey, and I even did a little wheeling...
Here is a pic inside the garage at work... Me and the maintainence guy fixed the seat bolt that broke off
One behind the house in "my" parking spot
Out by the barn
Photo shoot with my buddies Wrangler
Rescuing the Tacoma
Down by the Tank
Last one of the night
I order a new set of clear corner lenses and turn signals lights... I will post pics once I return and get the 4runner all cleaned up...

Your 4Runner is my 4Runner's hero! It has many of the same problems yours used to have. I'll definitely be using this thread in particular as a bit of a guide. Keep up the good work.

Not yet, and I hope it stays that way, but will need a lot of work if not replacement. It just turned through 186,000 yesterday and is pretty weak. I want to wait until it ships back to TX before making that determination though. I'm not skeptical of Puerto Rican mechanic's abilities, just that they will fix things such that it will pass outside of Puerto Rico. I have been preparing myself mentally for replacing engine and transmission so if that wont be necessary then I'll be pretty happy.
But this is YOUR build thread, so what's the latest? Make a decision on roof basket?

I'm currently on the injured list right now, I torn my ACL on Thursday, so I am not walking too well these days... I'm still undecided on the basket, and the bumper, I probably won't make the decision unit my knee heals up...
