My driver side power window just went out on me yesterday. All I'm getting is some clicking like the teeth are slipping down in there. Luckily I was able to get the window back up before it was totally gone.

I searched for a write up on replacing the motor/regulator but wasn't able to find anything on it.

Has anyone seen one, or already done this job, and has a few pointers? I'd hate to take it into the dealership, and I've already located a replacement motor/regulator for it.

So nobody has had to replace their motor/regulator?

I'm just looking for a few tips. I've already taken the door skin off before so I don't need any assistance there.

Does the glass have to come out of the door once you remove the bolts for the regulator/motor?

Do you have to use something/someone to hold the glass once the regulator/motor is off?

Bump this up. My motor clicks when window goes down but is smooth when going up. Worried it may be dying some how.
