I should get my Tokicos any day now, and I am thinking about springs too. I would like a small lift (1-2 inches) for my 01 4WD, but I am not sure which springs to get for the best price. I have done lots of searching over the last few weeks, but I still have no clear cut answer. The lift will be for looks, not off roading. The 01's & 02's are considered the "low rider" 4Runners and I don't like being in that category. Any suggestions?

The obvious choice is to get some 99 4runner springs. They will lift you 1-2 inches

I thought about that, but the OME 881s for the front and 906s for the back are cheaper (that's with my discount for working at Lexus). Would the OMEs be a good fit with the Trekmasters?

I thought the 881's gave you 3 inches of lift? Could be wrong, but either way you will obviously get a much better ride with OEM 99 Toyota coils. I would do it right the first time.

The PP springs would also be a good choice from what I gather and you shouldn't have to worry about the rear sag that you will eventually get with the 99 springs. There Probably the cheapest as well, only 199 for the 4. I would probably go with these and they should give you about 2" of lift.

That's what I run with stock P265/70R16's and the ride is perfect for me.
It will be about 0.5" talller than the 99 coils all around, so I say do it, you'll love the result!

I'll give you an idea of the lift you'll get using fender to ground measurements (on stock tires) so we all don't get confused since different year 4runners had different stock ride heights.......The 881's with no spacers up front will settle your fender at about 36.25" fender to ground. The 906's in the rear will settle to about 36.5" from fender to ground. Keep in mind these measurements can vary by about 0.25" from truck to truck but they've been pretty consistent from what I've seen. You can carry a fairly decent load in the rear (maybe 350-450lbs) before the truck looks like it is sagging at all. If you want to have more capacity, just run a set of airbags in the back and you can probably run over 1000lbs in the cargo area if you need to. You can also run 890s in the rear like I had before, but it will give you about 1.25" of rake when unloaded (which is why I switched them out......they'd be a better combo for the Tundra coils up front IMHO, which is basically the SS #7 setup), but you could run over 700 lbs before any sign of sagging (which I did verify with 10 bags of cement).
