trailer hook up? (98 4R)

this wire leads from the front of my 4Runner to the rear. is this the wire for the factory tow package? its just under the carpet by the passenger wheel well.





it's kinda hard to tell, but it has 12 terminals, 7 on top, 5 on bottom

I highly doubt that plug is for a trailer. I've never seen a trailer plug with 12 terminals.

Looks like a CD changer cable . . . Then again I could be waaaaaay wrong :-)

o yeah i think you're right. i remember the previous owner saying something that the factory changer broke. thanks bikkat!
