For those considering a s/c, here are some thoughts

(No big deal, it's just that the information exists; unfortunately it's spread out all over the place now)

If all you have is the blower itself, and nothing else? The TRD kit is $400 and it comes with everything you need, belts, bolts, tensioner, everything but the blower. I'd definetly call Evan at northridge and he'd be able to help and prob. hook you up too!
unless they've changed it this is the part number for the 2nd gen S/C- #00602-17620-210

I am excited to see the prospects of a bolt-on turbo kit for the 3.4 (node, URD, and others). Having driven several supercharged 3.4s and after owning and modding toyota turbocharged cars I feel the turbo would better complement the 3.4's powerband and offer more tuning potential and possibly even a lower cost. I feel the 3.4 makes plenty of low end torque, it's the midrange and topend highway power that is lacking. I would need a fuel pump, larger injectors and possibly something like an MAFT-pro to handle the fuel, the manifold adapter, the Supra CT26 turbo I have sitting in my garage, stainless steel braided oil supply and return lines, a compact MKIII supra intercooler ($30), and some time with my friend's tubing bender and welder for the intake plumbing. Silicone couplers, t-bolt clamps and a few other odds and ends...
I made 354 hp and 418 ft lbs of torque on a stock CT26 turbo and intercooler on my 3 liter supra motor, I figure I should be able to get close to that with the 3.4 without pushing the limits of 91 octane fuel. Then there's always methanol injection.

Yea turbo kits are the next big thing...im still talking to node about his manifolds and ho0pfully something can be tested later this year.
Paddlenbike, the supra ct26 is pritty small and chokes the engine pritty early so while it would be a great little turbo to start with, i doubt it will be worth it. Node has tried this and has mentioned how it wont make full psi at 4500+rpm
I think he is going with 60-2 turbos now that have been installed int he ct26 housing That shuold give it bit more guts.
Me....im going Twin Turbo for my 5vz MR2....my truck will see something a bit different when my car is on the road during the summer (so i can take apart the truck)

You can see the difference in impeller size in this pic. Left is stock 46-trim, right has a Garrett T04E 60-trim wheel.
A turbo 3.4 is where it's at.

The more I see of turbo setups for the 3.4L, the more I am thinking that is how I will go on mine.
They aren't quite as "bolt on" as a S/C but the tuning capability is just amazing.

My advise is to plan the turbo very carefully and be prepared for a lot of work required to put it in AND also to maintain it afterwards. This is not a S/C that you install, tune and then forget about it. It requires upkeep and lots of TLC.

And sick-o's like me enjoy this stuff.
Still waiting for pics of your setup.

I had a 57 trim on my MR2 and it was awsome
I believe node had 57trim upgrades in his too and it still choked out.
The 60-2 upgrade is looking to be awsome! Esspecialy since his goal is 7000rpm with the help of my cams and upcoming valve springs
