Supercharger for 91 4runner?

I told by an ASE certified Toyota Tech that it would not be worth the $$ due to the fact that the 1996 and older models have the "old computer technology".

The Tech DID include the 96 model also. Just what he said. Maybe he meant the 95 instead, I don't know. But, when I asked a second time I was told turough the 96 model.
I would think the head gaskets would not be able to take the added compression either.
I am a DIY guy and not a mechanic though.
