I'm getting ready to ditch those damn RB in exchange for some Stubbs sliders. I was checking out the webpage and the standard version looks fine to me, but I am also interested in the deluxe model. Anyone have either model and care to share any pros or cons between the 2? For my needs I'm sure either will be sufficient as most of the trails I'm planning on driving are mild compared to some of the true rock crawlers on YT.

ANother question, I was thinking of having them Linex'd instead of painting them. ANyone have an opinion on this? The running boards have to stay on until after my wife has our 1st kid, but after that there should be no excuses from her about needing the boards to get in/out.

ANother question I forgot to ask was whether to order 15 or 30 degree if I go with the standard model. I'm thinking 30, but I plan on using them as a step as well as body protection. After I get a SS#7 setup Im wondering if the 30 will be too high for the wife/others. Im sure either will be fine for me.

I to have been looking at a set of sliders from them, I was thinking that the little extra money for the deluxe is worth it. I think I would go for the 15 degree due to needing a step for others to get in and out, and the linexing would be a good idea because then you would have a little non slip protection at least on the top, for the winter season.

Just got my Deluxe sliders installed friday. They look like they came from the factory! I went with the 15 degree. Haven't beat them up yet, but I'm sure they'll be fine. Painted with a couple coats Rustoleum primer and satin black.

Richard is one cool dude. I think I talked to him on the phone for over a half hour, and I never even met him before!

I have the Standard sliders at 15 degrees slant.

Go with the 15 deg ones if you plan on using them as a side step. The 30s sit closer to the body.

ive got the 15 degree standard issue. No complaints, however I did slam the truck down really hard once on a boulder and slightly bent one of the sliders. Just be sure to give at least a quarter inch between the slider and the body pinch weld in case it happens to you or you will have body on slider vibrations like me. Also, you might want to ask him if he can make em with DOM just so you don't risk bending. Just a thought.

I have got the Standard's w/15* slant. Have had them on my '05 for over a year. They have held up very well. Seen some good abuse and have been used as a high lift point several times. 2 weeks ago they stopped the damage to my truck after an older guy took out my left rear tail light, fenderflare etc Got them for a steal off ebay when Richard was promoting his business there..He is very easy to work with IMO .I would recommend getting a set with the kick out though...I will probably order a set from him for my Trekker if I don't end up making them..

And be sure to get scab plates. I didn't get them with my Stubbs sliders and the frame dimpled when I jacked up my rig. Nice huh?

Remember, people are going to drag their pants/dresses/kilts on your sliders getting in and out of your rig, so Line-X might be more annoying than anything due to its texture. Also, touching up Line-X would be a pain should you ever have to.

Good advice from all, I will likely go w/ the 15 degree standards. I was thinking the linex for grip when being used as a step but I know someone on here just used 3M adhesive grip tape, it resembled skate board tape. I believe the kick outs are for serious rock crawling which I do not intend to do, mostly rocky desert trails for me. This purchase is mainly to get rid of the running boards which I dislike and to add to the overall offroad-worthy runner I am trying to set up.

Got some SKO sliders from Stubbs in the mail the other day, they came w/ plates installed. I cant wait to get them painted and welded on. You were all right, Richard is an excellent guy to do business with. Pics will come asap, my wife and I just had our 1st kid so they're on the backburner for the time being.
